This razor holder sticks onto the shower wall with a suction cup, and the aluminum color goes very nicely with the chrome fixtures in our shower. I like to keep my razor in the shower so it is available whenever needed, and then can drip dry. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that this holder seems to be designed for flat disposable razors with a thin handle. My Gillette Venus razor has to sit in this at an angle, since it has a larger v-shaped neck to the handle. My razor has only fallen out of the holder once, but I put it in gently and carefully. The suction cup works well - you lightly wet the suction cup, press it against the wall with the plastic holder flipped up, and then while pushing against the wall you flip the plastic holder back down. It stays. Very attractive. It looks much nicer than I thought it would from the product picture. It looks classy, and not junky.I bought this for my fiberglass shower stall. I placed it on top of the small corner ledge for shampoo, hoping that if the suction wasn’t that great that the ledge would provide addition support. I dampened the suction cups and secured them in place and loaded my few shower products in the bin. It seemed sturdy enough while I took my shower but sometime during the next few hours it must have fallen off because a quick peek at my new shower shelf before bed found it and all my shower stuff on the floor of the stall. I didn’t even fill it half way with products. Just a medium size shampoo bottle, disposable razor and bar of soap. Very disappointed with this purchase. I’ve had trouble getting suction cups to adhere to tile but I thought fiberglass (being so smooth) wouldn’t be a problem. I was wrong. The stainless cup needs to be a little less deep as it interferes a with getting the suction cup fully depressed, but once locked it does hold on well on a smooth surface. It looks nice and does a good job of holding a couple of different razor types (schick hydro and dollar shave executive). So, this thing is kinda bad. I have smooth ceramic tile in my shower and this won't even stay. Let me tell you why...The suction cup is under the metal trim piece, and between the trim piece and cup is a piece of rigid plastic, which I assume is part of the locking mechanism. However, this plastic piece is exactly the same size as the metal trim and actually larger thab the suction cup, so when the locking mechanism is engaged it *just barely* presses down the very outermost edge of the suction cup, which anyone who has ever used a suction cup knows doesn't get the job done. I'm going to try to fiddle around with it for a day or two to see if I'm missing anything, but I'll probably be sending this back.Purchased for additional space holder in shower. I've had the product for almost a month. It works well for what I purchased it for accept I have had to adjust the position due to it not holding stedfastly to the shower wall that I attached it to.This is nice to hold my razor in the shower but sometimes it randomly falls off the wall for no reason other than that it’s good especially for the priceI wish it had a top cover so it wouldn't hit my feet if I accidentally knock it out when in the shower, and it's not wide enough for my razor to fit in straight. But it does the job.I had to use epoxy to keep these from coming off my shower tile (which has a bit of texture). I'm sure they'd hold well if your tile is completely smooth. They hold razors nicely and make it convenient to use them.
